Speaker 1:

Hey friends, welcome to the podcast. Today we're going to talk about how to boost your visibility If you have let your accounts go quiet, if you haven't been active in your online digital world for your business, or maybe you just want to shine things up and prepare for a potential rocky economy that we've all been hearing about. So there are three tips that I have for you today, the first one being building your social proof. What do I mean by that? Your social proof is what people see at a glance when they search out your business online. Hopefully your SEO is there that's a podcast for another day.

Speaker 1:

But if someone were to Google your business name, business type or just try to check you out as a business owner to get an idea of what you offer and what kind of service you provide, what quality of work and service you provide, the best way to do that to show that at a glance is through growing your Google reviews in Google business. So obviously you need to make sure that you have a Google business account that is up and running and working. This applies to local businesses. It can also work for online businesses as well, but the idea is for you to get a good amount of reviews rolling in so that you can at a glance show that you follow through, you have great customer service and for people to hear from someone else. Why choose you over someone else as a business or service provider? The next is visuals gathering more visuals Photos added to Google. My Business goes such a long way with search engine optimization. It can make a big difference with you getting found or not. It's important to know that with Google business, you need to have a relationship with it and actually add periodically new photos, new posts, new updates, so that Google sees that you are maintaining your accounts, you are an active business and when there's something new, google the algorithm or the bots or whatever you want to call it, ai more than likely sees that there's something new and interesting and it will want to serve that up to people as they search for you. So keep your relationship active with your Google business account and if you don't have one, I would get it set up, get it validated and add at least 10 to 15 photos. Now those photos can be taken with a simple iPhone. You don't have to have a fancy camera or be a photographer and that's hard for me to say as a photographer originally, but it's true. All you need is your phone, your product, your service, and to take some photos, as simple as your packaging or you gathering up orders, anything that you can think of that a customer would see as quality, quality service, quality of work, quality of the product itself, follow through of delivering a package, whatever it is that that conveys that you'll want photos of it. So a good 15 to 20 photos will carry you through for a while. You can add them five at a time to Google business, and you can also use those for scheduling posts and for blogging. If you do use a blog or a website Blogging is not dead, by the way, which is another podcast for another day but those visuals matter.

Speaker 1:

Number three is build your email list. This probably should be number one. Building your email list is your way of making your business built on your own land, rather than trusting Instagram, facebook, google business and such. It's your home base for your customers. You can always reach them direct. You don't have to depend on another platform to do it. Convertkit is an excellent program that is very affordable to connect with your customers weekly, bi-weekly, once a month, with updates, exciting news. I would not use the word newsletter, because that's thought of as very outdated, but just to create your email community is so, so important, and it's a great way to add a personal touch to your customer base and also to bring in new customers. Convertkit has a great and all email platforms really have a great offering of pop-ups on your website or adding forms so that people can opt in to join your email community. So those are the three tips that I have to kickstart your business again If you've let it go dormant on social media or in your digital world.

Speaker 1:
